Fitness for Work Policy
Genesis Recruitment is committed to providing and maintaining a working environment in which our employees are not exposed to any hazards arising from long working hours or the use and abuse of alcohol or drugs.
All Genesis Recruitment employees are required to report for work in a fit condition, in order to perform their required duties in a safe, competent and proficient manner.
All Genesis Recruitment employees are prohibited from working when under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or upon producing positive Drug & Alcohol screening test results.
During our employee Safety induction process, Genesis Recruitment will actively educate employees in the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse in the workplace.
Genesis Recruitment will take all reasonable precautions in the placement of employees to ensure the hours of work; shifts/rosters and workplace conditions do not create an unacceptable risk of fatigue.
Where possible, our employees will not work in excess of 12 hours per day on a workplace assignment. In the event that Genesis Recruitment employees are required to work in excess of 12 hours per day, a risk assessment will be conducted by the Genesis Recruitment Directors to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the employees.
Environmental Policy
Genesis Recruitment understands that care for the environment is an essential part of managing its business operations.
Genesis Recruitment is committed to constant improvement in our business operations in order to protect the environment, in accordance with the requirements of the law, our clients, and expectations of the general community.
In order to apply this Policy, Genesis Recruitment activities shall be governed by the following principles:
- Genesis Recruitment shall abide by all relevant laws, regulations and standards.
- Genesis Recruitment shall plan, develop, implement and monitor relevant procedures and standards to minimise any unfavourable environmental impact that may result from our business.

Injury Management Policy
Genesis Recruitment is totally committed to preventing illness and injuries at work.
We will provide a safe and healthy working environment for all our employees, However we recognise the fact that injury or illness may still occur and therefore all workplace incidents shall be reviewed with steps being taken to prevent recurrence.
Genesis Recruitment firmly believes that occupational injury management is of benefit to everyone and should commence as soon as possible following injury or illness. At all times the rights, welfare and confidentiality of the employee will be respected in accordance with the requirements of WorkCover WA.
The Genesis Recruitment Injury Management Program is a managed process involving early provision of necessary and reasonable services, including a suitable duties program, to ensure the injured employees' earliest possible return to meaningful work. A team approach to Injury Management is used with co-operation and consultation being key requirements for all parties involved remaining focused on the needs of the injured party.
Genesis Recruitment has appointed an Injury Management Co-ordinator to manage the system and provide the necessary links between treating medical practitioners, injury management service providers and the workplace.
The goal for Genesis Recruitment and the injured party through the injury management program is to return the injured person to their normal duties with approval from the medical practitioner at the first possible instance. The program shall be regularly reviewed and updated accordingly.
The Genesis Recruitment Injury Management Co-ordinator will continually monitor the Injury Management program.
Occupational Health & Safety Policy
Genesis Recruitment recognises Occupational Safety and Health is an essential part of its business operations. We steadfastly believe that no business priority comes before safety.
We will endeavour to continually improve our Safety systems and processes. This will be done by continually checking our business activities and implementing appropriate changes when needed.
Genesis Recruitment is committed to: - The health and safety of all our internal staff & employees;
- Supporting the health and safety of our clients employees; and
- Working in association with our clients to ensure high levels of Occupational Health and Safety standards are present on all work sites.
The Genesis Recruitment senior management team is actively involved in the management and long term planning of Occupational Safety and Health. We encourage all employees to be actively involved in observing and suggesting changes in the workplace to reduce exposure to any risks and hazards. Genesis Recruitment expect all our employees to assume responsibility for their own actions, to report any unsafe acts and working conditions, and behave in a manner that reflects safe work practices and standards at all times. If ill health or injury results in a disability to any of our employees, Genesis Recrutiment will manage the Injury Management process to assist in their safe return to gainful and meaningful employment.
